Cagle Road Pottery
What a sweet child's basket from Cagle Road Pottery!!!!! The basket has a white glaze trimmed in red with Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy surrounded by red hearts! The red trim braided handle and the ruffled edge tops this basket perfectly. It is hand-painted and the detail is fantastic!
The basket stands about 5" tall to the top of the handle is is about 6" by 4 1/2".
The bottom is signed: Cagle Rd Pottery Seagrove, NC U.S.A. 05
The Seagrove area, comprising of 90 to 100 potteries in a 20 mile radius, is located in an area consisting of Randolph, Moore, Montgomery and Lee counties in beautiful central North Carolina. Located just east of the Uwharrie National Forest, the tradition of Seagrove pottery began more than 200 years ago. Some of the potteries consist of eighth and ninth generations of potter families and some are first generation. I am really excited about being able to bring you the opportunity to acquire some of this beautiful pottery.
